About
Becky Pizzilli
Brain Injury Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist
I’ve been there too …
A few years ago, my husband, Steve, fell through a roof at work and sustained a mild traumatic brain injury. At the time I was seven months pregnant with our second child. It was terrifying.
I was so grateful to have the knowledge and experience to be able to give Steve the best support I could during his recovery. However, it really hit home that not everyone has this privilege, or easy access to services to help them in their brain injury rehabilitation journey.
Meet Becky
Hi everyone, I’m Becky, an Occupational Therapist in Adelaide, South Australia. Originally from the UK, I’ve been an OT for 20 years and have a passion for helping people with their recovery from brain injury. Whether that be acquired through illness or a traumatic event.
I have worked in brain injury rehabilitation for the majority of my career and I love forging trusting relationships with my clients and listening to their stories. I want to use my experience and skills to help people with an acquired brain injury understand more about what they are going through, and how they can improve their daily life.
Thank you for being here with me. I’m excited to be here with you.

The making of Find Your Potential
Whilst I continue to work 1:1 as an OT with clients, I really wanted to help more people. I know not everyone with a brain injury has access to rehabilitation. Sometimes that’s because their brain injury is classified as a concussion and isn’t serious enough in medical terms. Sometimes people have finished their rehabilitation but still feel disconnected.
And that’s why I created Find Your pOTential. So that I can continue working 1:1 with my clients, but also help many more people with brain injury and their families cope and have the best recovery they can. Not just in Australia, but around the world.
I also have a dream to help other OTs to work in the brain injury space and teach them the techniques I’ve developed over my years of working in brain injury rehabilitation, so that together we can help even more people.

Experience and Qualifications
01
Originally from the UK, I began my career in OT at Nottingham University Hospitals. Working in a broad range of clinical settings, I soon discovered my favourite area of work was neurological rehabilitation.
02
In 2009, my husband and I moved to Australia and I began work as a Senior OT with the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service (BIRS) in South Australia. I worked for 7.5 years with BIRS and learned so much from the team members, as well as the patients and clients.
03
I have a BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, and am registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
